Procurement procedures are processed electronically, and e-procurement solutions are used or can be made available to our clients.

VKMB is also responsible for guaranteeing the supply of drinking and service water to medical and technical facilities, as well as for the operation of all sanitary installations.
Furthermore, VKMB’s range of services includes the provision of medical gases, technical and medical compressed air, and various types of water required for medical operations. The safe generation and distribution of sterile steam, low-pressure steam and chilled water are also part of technical operations management.

VKMB is responsible for the maintenance of medical and building services equipment at the University Hospital Vienna (AKH Wien). This includes initial safety inspections, recurring inspections, metrological checks, maintenance and repair of the equipment.
The required technical measures in the field of medical and device technology are carried out both in workshops and on site. The objective is always to maintain the equipment in an economically efficient and technically flawless condition.
In addition, medical technology asset management is also part of the responsibilities of Medical and Device Technology.
